Festive, fresh and just a touch fiery. El bigote loco mixes modelo especial, tequila, honey and even egg whites to give you an intriguing, delicious drink. It takes an extra effort, but the reward is in the flavor.

Ingredients List

  • 2 oz. Modelo Especial
  • 11⁄2 oz. Blanco Tequila
  • 3⁄4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1⁄2 oz. Amaro Siciliano
  • 1⁄2 oz. Morita Chile Infused Honey*
  • 1 Egg White
  • *Bartender Notes: Morita Chile Infused Honey
  • 8 oz. of Water
  • 8 oz. of Honey
  • 1-2 Morita Chilies, Blended
  • Simmer water, honey and chilies in a pan for 30 minutes. Let cool for 5 hours. Strain out the chilies.

  1. In a shaker, combine the lemon and honey, followed by the amaro and tequila.
  2. In a different glass, separate the egg white from the yolk and discard the yolk.
  3. Add the egg white to the other ingredients.
  4. Dry shake the ingredients together.
  5. Add ice and shake the life out of it.
  6. Double strain into a collins glass and top with Modelo Especial.
